Recent versions of PuTTY automatically putty connection initiate repeat key exchange once per hour, to improve session security.
No offence to SourceForge; I think they do a wonderful job. But they're not ideal for everyone, and in particular they're not ideal for us. A.9.5 Why can't I subscribe to the putty-bugs mailing list?
[edit]Version 3 At the outset of the Secure Shell File Transfer project, the Secsh group stated that its objective putty connection of SSH File Transfer Protocol was to provide a secure file transfer functionality over any reliable data stream, and to be the standard file transfer protocol for use with the SSH-2 protocol.
We have no plans to write such a port ourselves; none of putty connection us has an iPhone, and developing and publishing applications for it looks awkward and expensive.
PuTTY was written and is maintained primarily by Simon Tatham and is currently beta software.
