XFree86 started as a port of X for 386-compatible PCs putty buddy and, by the end of the 1990s, had become the greatest source of technical innovation in X and the de facto standard of X development.

These putty buddy algorithms work in such a way that, putty buddy while it is easy for the intended recipient to generate the public and private keys and to decrypt the message using the private key, and while it is easy for the sender to encrypt the message using the public key, it is extremely difficult for anyone to figure out the private key based on their knowledge of the public key. They are based on mathematical relationships (most notably the integer factorization and discrete logarithm problems) which have no efficient solution.
If putty buddy a function key isn't doing what you expect, it's likely that the character sequence your application is expecting to receive is not the same as the one PuTTY is sending.
