Exceed putty
W used a network protocol supporting terminal exceed putty and graphics windows, the server maintaining display lists.

This is a follow-up to an attack discovered earlier in 2009 exceed putty by Alex Biryukov, Dmitry Khovratovich, and Ivica Nikolić, with a complexity of 296 for one out of every 235 keys.

(Note that firewalls defend computers from intruders by limiting access to ports/machines both inbound and outbound, but can still be circumvented.
When the public key is present on one side and the matching private key is present exceed putty on another side, typing in the password is no longer required (some software like MPI stack may need this passwordless access to run properly).
