Dynamic wood putty
In a secure asymmetric key encryption scheme, the private key should not be deducible from the public key. This is known as public-key encryption, since an encryption key can be published without dynamic wood putty compromising the security of messages encrypted with that key. In the analogy above, Bob might publish instructions on how to make a lock ("public key"), but the lock is such that it is impossible (so dynamic wood putty far as is known) to deduce from these instructions how to make a key which will open that lock ("private key").
