Configure putty
The most commonly used encodings are UTF-8, configure putty the now-obsolete UCS-2, and UTF-16.
It was selected by the National Bureau of Standards as an official Federal Information Processing Standard (FIPS) for the United States in 1976 and which has subsequently enjoyed widespread use internationally.

However, configure putty as a UDP equivalent of FTP, official FSP servers frequently run on UDP port 21, which is the same as FTP's TCP port number.
