Currently PuTTY does not run ap putty on Windows CE (see question A.3.4).

ANSI escape sequences are characters embedded in the text used to control formatting, color, and other output options on video text terminals.

One such early effort was Philip J. Gust's SharedX tool.

If you're specifying ap putty a file at the local end, you just use one set of quotes as you would normally do: pscp "local filename with spaces" user@host: pscp user@host:myfile "local filename with spaces" But if the filename you're specifying is on the remote side, you have to ap putty use backslashes and two sets of quotes: pscp user@host:"\"remote filename ap putty with spaces\"" local_filename pscp local_filename user@host:"\"remote filename with spaces\"" Worse still, in a remote-to-local copy you have to specify the local file name explicitly, otherwise PSCP will complain that they don't match (unless you specified the -unsafe option).

But the PuTTY maintainer team does not administer any server you are likely to be connecting to, and cannot help you with questions of this ap putty type.

Dedicated (hardware) X terminals have become less common; a PC or modern thin client with an X server typically provides the same functionality at the same, or lower, cost.
